The location of Erwin Technical School located at Tampa, Florida is unique in the fact that it enables students from five county areas of Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee and Hillsborough to attend the school conveniently. The focus of the school is on the welfare of the students providing high quality technical education in a flexible manner.

The various programs offered in both full time and part time mode programs in business, health, industry and design. Various part time and full time courses offered under the business section includes accounting specialist, administrative assistant, court reporting, accounting Fundamentals, adobe dream weaver cs3, adobe illustrator , adobe in design cs3, adobe Photoshop cs3, adobe-digital design, adobe-web design, Computers – Getting Started with Computer Concepts, Computers – Practical Computer Literacy, excel/Microsoft (Spreadsheets)Keyboarding, MS Access 2007 (intro), On-Line Courses (Offered through the School District of Hillsborough County only) PowerPoint/Microsoft, QuickBooks 2008 and 2007/Microsoft. Medical programs include dental assisting, massage therapy, medical assisting, medical laboratory technician, surgical technology, practical nursing, medial billing and coding specialist, eectroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist, polysomnography, phlebotomy update, medical billing and coding / introduction, NCLEX review, medical coding advanced and I.V. skills/therapy. Design programs include barbering I and II, cosmetology, interior decorating and floral design and marketing. Industrial programs include courses like air Conditioning (Heating, AC, and Refrigeration), automotive technology, building maintenance admissions, carpentry (residential and commercial), computer aided drafting, computer repair/networking – A+, Network+, Planet 3 Wireless and 3 MCPs (Windows XP or Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2003 Infrastructure),
culinary arts, electricity, plumbing, surveying technician (certified), welding technology, A+ Certification / Prep, architectural desktop 2006 level 1 Spanish, architectural desktop 2006 Level 2 Spanish, AutoCAD 2008 3D and rendering,, AutoCAD 2008 level 1, AutoCAD 2008 Level 2 , AutoCAD Architecture 2008 Level 1, Automotive made easy, CFC Certification class and test, CFC Certification review / retest, electrical wiring, HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance / Intro and Welding – Gas, Arc, MIG, TIG. Various programs are accredited by accrediting agencies like American Dental Association, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs etc.

Whereas the full time programs prepare students for entry level employments part time courses improve their current job skills. The school operates on a twelve month calendar. While many programs require only a high school diploma some courses have Special requirements. Those without a high school diploma may also need to meet special requirements. The school also allows transfer of credits allowing students attending other technical schools to study at Erwin technical school.

Financial aid is provided in the form of grants, scholarships and loans under the state, institutional and federal laws. In order to achieve the same a student must satisfy certain conditions. Special services are also offered to handicapped students and hearing impaired. There are facilities for career planning, job placements etc.
